I'm Laura, a multilingual Journalist and Spanish Instructor. I'm passionate about helping brands find their voice in Spanish, empowering professionals to gain fluency and sophistication in Spanish and teaching children to develop confidence and a love for the language. I've lived in 5 different countries; I speak Spanish, Catalan and English natively, and I am currently learning Dutch and French. I'm enthusiastic about cultural exchange and the power of language to shape the way we think and interact with reality. 

• Marketing

My six years of experience in a Spanish marketing consultancy has given me a business perspective to cater to executives and companies at a corporate level. I trained at Google boot camp in SEO content writing; I offer Spanish copywriting services targeted to the US Hispanic market, and I develop corporate communication materials. I've done social media management and assisted in the soft landing of a Spanish start-up in NYC. 

• Spanish Teaching

I have over 8 years of successful experience in professional language instruction. Thumbtack recognized me with several Top Pro awards in the category of Best Spanish lessons in New York for "consistently delivering outstanding customer experiences". I help professionals from a wide range of industries find their voice in Spanish, build, and leverage their business Spanish presence. 

• Journalism

As a Journalist, I have published articles in Spanish, English and Catalan, in both corporate publications and mainstream media outlets. I've worked on English-Spanish translations and Spanish editing and proofreading projects.

When not working

I can be found making collage art, learning languages, and involved in my local community activities.
